Send in the Clowns carnival company is throwing a second festival for all students who weren't permitted in the first time around.
The carnival company hired for a Queens elementary school’s end-of-year festival thatonly paying students could attend is now offering to throw a free bash for the banned kids.
“I’m in the business for over 25 years and always put kids first,” said Gary Pincus, president of Send in the Clowns Entertainment. “Therefore, I would love to do a free carnival for all the kids that weren’t permitted to attend.”
PS 120 in Flushing hired Send in the Clowns to set up a carnival on its property during school hours Thursday. But about 100 of the students — many from low-income immigrant families —were not allowed to attend because their parents did not pay the $10 fee.
Some of them cried as they were forced to sit in the school’s auditorium while they listened to classmates enjoying inflatable slides, tea-cup rides and flavored ices outside.
